Message from the Principal

In this academic year, students at MCS would not have failed to notice the tangible changes in the school: the newly renovated D.S. Room, the 21st Century Classrooms, the Interactive TVs in the two Music Rooms, and the new computers in the Multi-media Learning Centre… All these changes and additions have no doubt helped to enhance the learning and teaching experiences of our students and teachers. We should thank the former students from the Class of 86, 77, 76 and 72 respectively for their generosity, not only in monetary terms but also in the love for their alma mater. Gratitude inspired their wish to return - to return to 5 Ho Tung Road in person after being away for 30 or 40 years, and to return to the school in ways to show how much they appreciated their learning experiences and surroundings here.

All current and future students should treasure the education and the environment that MCS provides to show their gratitude to these former students, and to their teachers and parents.

Talking about gratitude, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our school supervisor, Dr Maria Lee, who retired in August 2018. Dr Lee assumed her position as our School Supervisor in July 2011 and has been showing her staunch support to the staff and students in a down-to-earth and practical manner. Students may remember her for taking photos during school programmes or chatting with them during lunchtime and checking out the contents of their lunch boxes. My colleagues and I will remember her for her respect towards each of us, her sense of humour and her support for us through various crisis moments in the past seven years and beyond.

May God continue to bless Dr Lee and all members of MCS.
