Founded in 1925 by the trailblazing Maryknoll Sisters, Maryknoll Convent School provides
all-round, quality and affordable education for girls, empowering them with a thirst for
knowledge, a desire for excellence and a heart for service. Guided by our school motto, Sola
Nobilitas Virtus (Virtue Alone Ennobles), we seek to liberate our students’ minds from
ignorance and their hearts from prejudice.
At Maryknoll, we hold fast to the belief that every person, formed in the image of God,
possesses inherent dignity, their potential waiting to be unveiled. We cherish the
uniqueness of each student and foster an environment that kindles their spirits and
encourages them to embark on a journey of self-discovery. Under our teachers' caring and
intentional guidance, young women are granted ample freedom to explore, stumble and
rise again. In the process, they develop self-esteem, ownership of their learning and an
ability to make responsible judgments tempered with compassion for others.
Our educational philosophy centers around the conviction that the growth of the individual
is intertwined with the progress of society. We recognize that individual achievement
cannot be pursued in isolation from the development of society as a whole. Thus, we
provide an educational experience that raises our students’ awareness of the relevance of
their learning and builds a clear sense of purpose.
Within the embrace of Maryknoll is a sisterhood that celebrates love, respect and shared
aspirations. We instill in our students an unwavering spirit of collaboration and mutual
support, nurturing their souls to radiate kindness and compassion. As they traverse the
transformative journey of adolescence, our young women cultivate a profound
understanding of their place in the world.
Sola Nobilitas Virtus, our school motto, serves as a guiding light, illuminating the way of
Maryknoll Convent School and our worldwide community of alumnae, today and into the
future.
